Jè-rouge literally means 'red eyes', a signature of this particular werewolf pack.
Bitten, not born, the Jè-rouge are different than their bestial brethren. Born human and with ties to their humanity, the Jè-rouge are a newer breed of werewolf. Sophisticated, vicious, with none of the animalistic tendencies that used to give their sister-packs away as obvious animals. They move within the human world more easily than their vampire mortal enemies, but they are unable to hide their true nature from their fanged counterparts.
Though they still retain a deep connection to animals - particularly wolves - and the Earth, they are not locked in pack-thought; instead they are bound by loyalty and - usually - love.
The full moon, however, still holds sway over them.
