Personal History:

Franco was born along with his brother on March 15, 1975. Franco was younger by about 30 seconds. This would eventually lead to Julian taking over the Vitali’s and being trained while Franco resided at his brother’s side, yet slightly beneath him. They were both raised by nannies from birth and then sent to a boarding school in Massachusetts. By the time they were 15, Franco had become extremely protective of his brother. He knew his brother would eventually run the family and he knew his parents expected 4.0 averages and perfection from them both.

Franco made sure his brother graduated high school with a 4.0 and Valedictorian. During the four years they were at school, Franco manipulated grades, tests, and fucked teachers just so that his brother would pass. It was also during this time that Franco noticed a change in his brother. Julian would miss more and more classes and arrive late to scores of others.
Eventually, Franco confronted his brother. He knew that Julian was working on his ‘business’, but he needed to know how far it had gone. The resulting conversation infuriated Franco. Julian was selling narcotics to half the student population and a third of the faculty and staff. In Franco’s mind that was dangerous. They didn’t have enough influence in the school or with the outside law enforcement to make a ‘bust’ disappear. Still, Franco said nothing. He was loyal to his brother. They were best friends.

As graduation approached, Franco noticed other odd behavior from his twin. He’d stay gone for nights at a time and often look like he had been run over by a train when he got back. By Christmas of their senior year, Julian had bought them both an apartment near the school. Franco was thankful for that. They seemed to be outgrowing their dorm room. Franco was selling and manufacturing fake ID’s and tests for the student population while Julian continued to grow his ‘business’. Together they were quite popular with the school crowd, and had only had minor run-ins with school and law enforcement officials. Nintey-nine percent of the time, Julian was either able to bribe then, or Franco was able to make the evidence disappear.

Three days before graduation, Franco found out that his brother had tied for Valedictorian. That was no good. In light of the new information, Franco had the scores for Julian’s opponent changed. Then he had the boy beaten by the school bullies. Julian would be the only Valedictorian that year. Franco made sure of it. It was also Franco who sobered his brother up enough to attend graduation. It wasn’t that Franco wasn’t aware of Julian’s new drug habits, he just hadn’t realized how far they had gone. After graduation, both twins went back to their apartment to pack. Their parents wanted them to come to New Orleans for the summer, and that was fine with Franco. Perhaps with the change of scenery, Julian would heal from his addiction.

Instead while Julian fell into a controlled spiral of drugs, Franco worked alongside his parents to expand their empire in New York and began looking into holdings in Europe. His protective instincts, while lost on Julian, were transferred to his young 'sister' Luca. When Julian was given reign over their business in New Orleans, Franco was at his side, playing second to his brothers command.
