Tristan Batard

Character Name:
Tristan Batard

Organization:
The Humans

Position:
Mechanic

Personal History:

The Batard Family used to be one of the richest in Louisiana, and Tristan was the golden child.  Only son due to inherit a fortune, until his Father was put in jail for embezzling.  His Mother distanced herself by moving half way across the country and falling into depression.  She drank herself to death in under a week.  That left Tristan behind to deal with the backlash; he was ill-equipped and ended up in debt.  His lawyers dropped him after a few months and he was thrown out of his house, his possession repo'd.  Tristan Batard simply faded away, unimportant to anyone but creditors.

Nowadays no one would recognize the grease-stained mechanic that works at the docks on riverboat engines as one of the young, rich, and popular.  He found work on the riverboats and ships on the Mississippi, but its not nearly enough to repay his Father's debts.  That close to the riverbank, he sees the backalley deals go down between the crime families and the Tenebroso, the clanless vampires and the sailors.  And he needs money, badly.  Badly enough to do something foolish, but at this point, what has he got left to lose?

Face Representation:
Alex Pettyfer

Alyssa was sold by her Father when she was fourteen to the Davidovitch headhunters and shipped overseas for the pleasure of very rich, very powerful men.  She survived under the hard hand of Roman Davidovitch, and was 'promoted' out of the drug dens and into the new casino they had built in New Orleans.  She dances there, in the private gaming rooms, and is able to lose herself to the music before, inevitably, she is jerked out of it by someones hand on her ass.  She's gotten excellent at aiming for the eye with her heels.

With her haunting gray eyes and secret smile, she is enough to capture and hold the attention of any man or woman.  But she wants out of this life; she just needs someone more powerful than the Davidovitch to do it.

Former SWAT, former Recon Marine, MIles Deacon had thought he'd seen it all.  An injury forced him into 'retirement'.  Retirement turned out to be black bag jobs for the government.  The man was a million dollar weapon, a little broken, but the U.S. government still wanted their pound of flesh.  MIles was happy to give it if it kept him working.  And the paychecks were better than military grade by at least two zero's.

The jobs started out easy enough.  An eliminated Senator here, a radical there, but then he was sent to New Orleans with a dossier on what seemed to be an entire Family - at least, they all shared the same last name.  It was a small subset of vampires living in New Orleans.  His employers were testing him, and he came through.  But once they realized he could effectively kill vampires and wasn't running screaming about red-eyed demons with fangs, they were sending him up against tougher and tougher demons.

He's been slapped on the radar of the Believers and the Vampires; a one man army without affiliations.  He would make a fantastic Believer, an even better vampire.  Its just a question of who gets to him first.  In the meantime, his orders keep coming down, bringing him closer and closer to the two vampiric Families dominating New Orleans.
