Le Chat Noir can be discovered on one of the most recognized avenues in the country. The 700 block between the Central Business District (downtown) and the Uptown residential area. Close enough for easy visitor access, yet considered 'where the locals go,' this area, known as the Warehouse/Arts District, has great appeal to tourists and conventioneers who want a hip New Orleans experience. It is five blocks from the French Quarter and six blocks from the Morial Convention center, Le Chat Noir is the most prominent place to find humans from all walks of life including tourists. Its location really makes it a prime hangout for the humans of New Orleans.

The front door is unique because it houses the image of a black cat etched in to the black wood. The front door leads in to the Bar area where there are tables and seats for 45 people. There is also enough standing room for 30 more people bringing the bar's total capacity to 75.

The decor of the bar is a colorful mix of black and deep red. The floor is a black and white mosaic tile that just serves to set off the bright colors of the walls and ceilings. The house drink is the Black Cat.
While at the bar its patrons notice that even the bartenders are part of the entertainment. Whether it's spinning bottles or shooting flames, everyone will be entertained by these skilled bartenders.

Le Chat Noir also houses an expansive cabaret room in the back of the building. This room takes its occupants back to the 1940's with soft lighting, table seating around cabaret tables draped with tablecloths and soft glowing candles. This creates an intimate atmosphere for drinking, talking, and entertainment. This room can hold 135 patrons and has been noted as the most elegant in the city of New Orleans.

The Cabaret Room was designed for live entertainment with technical accouterments including enhanced sound and theatrical type lighting all operated from a highly sophisticated and modern tech booth. The stage is 16' by 20' with a workable back-up stage suitable for a five person singing and dancing group as well as a jazz combo or single torch singer with piano accompanist.
