Cordaro, often called Cord, is the youngest of Bathold Bernauer's children including: August, Teller, and Jemina.

Bathold Bernauer was not a pleasant man, a good father, or a sane individual. Which was why Cordaro killed him when he turned 10. Whether it was an accident or deliberate, Cord has never said. His brothers and sister never had the courage to ask. That said, Bathold had never felt an ounce of remorse in his life, much less enough to off himself as his suicide note had read.

Cord suffered a violent home life as a child. He bore the brunt of the beatings when August and Teller got old enough and went off to college; when Jemima got fed up and ran away. It was Cordaro that was left. The discpline fell onto his young shoulders and he has the scarring from his failures along his back and shoulders to prove it.

The only good thing to come out of his formative years was his flawless use of his powers though Cord has a ruthless edge that shows itself only when he is protecting his family. He is extremely protective of the Coven and despite a dark and shadow-shrouded past, he is well loved and respected.

He and his siblings are close even with the elephant of their dead Father in the room.
