In love, there are no boundaries.

Carlotta was born in 1955 in New York. She grew up in the Bronx, a 'bad' girl from the beginning. She was always getting into trouble. It wasn't uncommon for her to pull her dress up on the playground and flash all the boys who then ran to tell the teachers.

At 15 she was already sexually active, much to her old-world family's condemnation. They forced her to attend church. Tried to cleanse her impure ways, but it was all for naught. In 1970, abortion was not yet legal and both Carlotta and her parents found themselves in a terrible predicament. Luckily, her parents had enough money to bribe the doctor to take care of the problem. Carlotta had been against the idea from the very beginning, but going against her parents on this matter would have resulted in her being sent away; a reject from the family. Scarred and bitter after the event, Carlotta left home at the age of 18 to work in a bar and strip club.

In 1974 she met the man of her dreams - Giovanni Vitali. He was everything that she had envisioned in a man and had invested a significant portion of money into the club Carlotta worked at. Over the next few months they became close. Too close for her employers liking but with Giovanni fronting the money there was nothing that could be done. To aggravate Mr. Vitali meant a signifigant decrease in money and profits.

Carlotta and Giovanni became a fast item. It was rare that you would find one without the other. Eventually, Carlotta quit stripping and started managing the bar and strip club. The 'owner' was furious. He was hell bent on removing them from his business. However, it was not to be. On a cold December night in 1978, both Giovanni and Carlotta entered the club armed with what would soon be their signature .357's. Twin gun shots rang through the club scattering the patrons and the girls. The owner of the club was no more, dead in a pool of his own blood, 12 shots to his body evenly split between his head and his chest.
Giovanni called his contacts at the police department and the media. Carlotta called her lawyer, and they both remained free. The event was glossed over in the news as an 'upset patron.

In 2005 they were firmly entrenched in Chicago, New York, and beginning to get a firm hold in New Orleans. Preferring New York to New Orleans, they've left Julian and Franco in charge of running the day to day operations in the Big Easy.
